Ms. J.J. Morse
Director of Business Development for Comprehensive Risk Services – She is a marketing and Business Development professional who graduated from Loyola Marymount University. JJ owned her own retail business for 6 years and has worked in marketing and business development since she sold that business. JJ has four children, one that is a senior at Willliams Field High School and one incoming Freshman.
Mr. Jordan Pace
Jordan Pace is the Assistant Controller of Romulus Restaurant Group, a multi-state restaurant operator of IHOP and Slim Chicken’s. He joined Romulus in January 2015. Prior to joining Romulus Restaurant Group, Mr. Pace worked four and a half years at Ernst & Young, LP assisting public and private clients on tax related issues. Mr. Pace received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting and Masters of Taxation degree from W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. He is also a Higley High School Alumni.
As assistant controller and senior tax associate in public accounting, Mr. Pace has gained considerable experience in tax accounting, financial reporting, internal auditing, finance, and treasury management. His background provides the Board with broad experience in finance and accounting matters.
Mrs. Terri Zezula
Terri Zezula has more than 30 years in education, working with students as an elementary and special education teacher, and then as a marketing professional in education technology. For the last several years, she has held leadership roles in education software companies, working with schools and business partners to support the education community. She is currently the VP of Sales & Marketing at rSmart (www.rsmart.com). Terri holds a BS in Psychology from St. Thomas Aquinas College and a MS in Education from Iona College. She has lived in the Higley Unified School District for 13 years.
Mr. Mark Swisher
Mr. Swisher has served in multiple capacities for non-profit organizations supporting the Higley Unified School District over the past 11 years. He is a graduate from Arizona State University and has worked as in IT Executive in the valley for over 32 years.
Mr. Swisher has served as the Event Coordinator for the Ken Vandehei Memorial Golf Classic since its’ inception in 2006. This event has raised more the $195,000 for scholarships awarded to graduating seniors.
Mr. Phil Alibrandi
A Higley resident since 2002, Phil Alibrandi is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. Five years of service as a US Army officer has led to an ongoing career in international sales, strategic marketing and consulting for a number of Semiconductor Equipment companies.
An active parent and volunteer in Higley schools for 15 years, Phil has supported numerous site councils, district committees and held key roles in three PACs advocating for adequate Higley District funding and qualified Governing Board members. In addition to the HAF, he also serves as President of the Board of Directors for HOBY Arizona, an international youth leadership training program encouraging a lifetime of community service.
Dr. Mike Thomason

Dr. Mike Thomason began as superintendent of the Higley Unified School District on July 1, 2015. He holds a doctorate degree in educational leadership and policy from ASU and formerly served as the district’s assistant superintendent of operations, assistant superintendent of student services and director of special education.
Dr. Thomason brings more than 20 years of education and leadership to the helm. In addition to his doctorate, he holds Bachelor of Science Degrees in special education and elementary education from Arizona State University and a Master of Arts degree in guidance counseling from Ottawa University.
